Welcoming Le Social to our Bungalow and canalside garden
Jul 30 2021
We are delighted to announce wine specialist Le Social as the next independent operator to take residency in our Bungalow and Gardens from the 5th August until the end of September.
Known for its unique selection of natural and organic wines, Le Social will also stock a range of beers, cocktails and aperitifs inspired by long summer evenings on The Continent, served canalside, in the heart of the city centre neighbourhood. The team has developed an exciting soft drink selection in collaboration with Copenhagen’s MURI Drinks.
Le Social was founded by wine professional Jérôme Boullier during lockdown. Jérôme provided a door-to-door wine delivery service with all profits given to charity – the business grew rapidly into a specialist retailer and wholesaler of organic and natural wines, working closely with the likes of General Store, Common & Co, Butcher-s Quarter and Feel Good Club to name a few.
Jérôme said, “We really want to create an inclusive, warm and friendly neighbourhood bar for everyone to enjoy, with that holiday feeling that we’re all craving. We are looking forward to bringing our relaxed offering to the Kampus community and the city centre.”
The opening night on 5th August, will see the debut of Manchester collective CHIC, serving disco, funk and house tunes all evening.
Jérôme will also be curating a series of wine and food events during the Le Social residency, to be announced soon, including a boozy brunch with Kampus residents Bread Flower.
Le Social opening times:
Thursday & Friday 4-10pm
Saturday & Sunday 12 -10pm
Tables will be walk-in only. Entrance is via the steps next to the canal on Minshull Street, or for step free access via the back of the garden on the corner of Aytoun and Minshull Street.
